Need scanner

My old Epson 4490 is working oddly. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, and it just doesnt work right. Right now I can't close out any pictures it scan's in or do anything with them,like rotate,or enhance. I like that this scanner is simple. No bells and whistles.I'm looking for one that will preview multiple pics and let me scan each one separately. Dont want an all in one.I would appreciate any info on scanners.I have windows 7.Hope this is the right place to put this.

I have loved each Epson scanner I have ever had. I did need a new printer so I got an HP all in one and it has a fabulous scanner on it. Not as many options as my Epson flatbed had but it does what I need it to do. Good luck in your search.

For a stand alone scanner, I have in the past really liked Canon.
My latest Epson printer came with a scanner so I use it now but would still be using my canon if I hadn't needed the new printer.
