Murphy's Law...

Why do things break down on the weekends when there is no one around or you have to pay double to fix them? Our furnace went out friday night. It got down to 50 degrees in the house. They came out to fix it on saturday morning. Said they couldnt find anything wrong with it. Then Saturday night it stopped working again. They are supposed to come out again tomorrow. Can't wait to see how much it will cost and by the way the warranty just ran out.
So how was your weekend?

That sucks. Our furnace went out earlier this month, in the middle of the cold. Luckily we have a fireplace in the basement and the kids camped out down there to stay warm. We have a neighbor that has a friend that works on furnaces, that came out to try and see what was wrong, but ultimately we had to wait almost 2 weeks before we could get it repaired. But surprisingly it didn't cost as much as we though it would. Good Luck
In the interim, our dryer also broke so we had to replace that right after the furnace. Home ownership sometimes isn't so hot. LOL

I find once something goes, then it just dominos into other somethings!! One month we had the transmission in the car go and had to be replaced to a tune of I won't even go there, and then the washer broke (which thankfully Chris fixed himself) and then a few days after that, we lost our furnace (it was leaking carbon monoxide too!) so it had to be totally replaced. It was a tough month and we were selling the house too, it was a nightmare.

Ugh! Expensive things breaking Down are the worst! Hope it gets fixed quickly for a bargain! I suppose things break on the weekend for the same reason that's when kids get sickest and have the highest fevers. Dumb Murphy.

Oh no! :( Rough weekend! Hopefully it gets fixed for not too crazy of an amt. They shouldn't charge you for 2 visits - that woul dbe WRONG!
