I'm so busy, I didn't even have lunch! We just moved - took possession of our new home on Thursday afternoon and picked up the keys, moved out of the hotel on Friday and the movers arrived with our furniture and effects Friday, Saturday the appliances arrived and were installed (except the dishwasher, which was installed today), Saturday we also had the internet, TV, and phone installed (haven't had TV in several years, but one year free came with our home, so we took it!). Shopped for stuff for the house Saturday and Sunday, and did some unpacking (mostly clothes and linens). Had the unpacker here today (if anything is damaged or broken during the move, it is only covered if the moving company unpacks it) and we continue to do more unpacking ourselves.
So with all the business, sometimes I've forgotten to eat! Not a good thing, and as a dietitian I should know better!
The house is coming along, and I am being ruthless in deciding what to keep, what to throw out, and what to donate. I would have done more of that before the move, but I was finishing up my graduate degree, and only finished it just before we put our old house on the market. So didn't have time to do it then. So I'm doing it now. Anything I haven't used or worn since our last move (in 2011) is being thrown out or donated, unless it is a specialty item that just hasn't had a reason to be used (i.e. my super-warm winter running gear or my balaclava, which I didn't need at all in the last place we lived, as our winters were very mild).
So, I'm a bit behind on this month's challenges due to all the move chaos, but hope to get my 10 done before the end of the month!
