How do you organize your digital kits so you can find something specific?

I wanted a swirl swirl last night, I know I have them somewhere, but couldn't find them. Searched for swirl, brush, mask etc, but nothing. Each designer seems to name differently.

How owe do you do it?

I know some designers use flourish for the name! :)

I typically don't rename element and paper names. I organize things just based on the preview and kit theme.

I'm on a MAC. In my Finder folder, I have more folders for scrapbooking kits and templates. Inside those folders are more folders. All my kits and templates are in alphabetical order, according to designers. I can search for anything in Spotlight, as long as the designers have named their items - button, paper, flower, etc. If it is just named paper1 or png1, it makes a specific search harder. Some designers even name the color which is very helpful, too.

Once you figure things out, if you're like me, you will re-do and re-do how you organize until you find a way that suits you.
