How do I not resize the whole image in photoshop cc?

So, I used to be able to click on the controls and change the size of something. Like on a journal card, I could move one side smaller and not change the other.

Now I change one thing and the whole thing changes sides. TIA.

Most of the time, I like to resize journal cards to fit a pocket size. I used to be able to just click on the image and it would move on only the one side I want. Now the whole image resizes. Does that make more sense?

you can hold shift down or you can click on the lock tool at the top of the page if you have the essentials classic workspace showing

ok I just went to screenshot & my workspace has changed since I used it 24 hours ago so disregard my advice as the lockbox to scale things proportionally has now gone again :(

Previously I just clicked this on or off to scale with or without the proportion

The lock symbol (to keep proportions) works on my PS CC. I just checked it now.

Select transform tool (Control + T on PC), you'll see the transform control points. Up top, you'll see the lock symbol between the width and height boxes. Click that on and off to lock and unlock the proportions.

I hadn't done the latest update on mine, I had been using the essentials classic workspace & it was gone when I logged back in after the update - after a bit of fiddling with the settings I got my other tool bars back & the transform tool came back where I had it. I like that bugs get fixed but so annoying when it resets my workspace
