I am Kathryn and may be something of an anomaly here since I really don't do scrapbooking. So why buy scrapbooking kits? The creative outlet of putting images together - the colors and textures and elements - and of trying new techniques, layouts, etc. is very fun and satisfying. Yes, sometimes my images do include personal photos but even so, I don't consider my works scrapbooking.

My home is in the far northern part of the Central Valley in California (USA). Your almonds probably come from here. I am 66, widowed and care for my mother who is 90. We live with our cat Mittens and now a rescued kitten named Cece who will go to live with my granddaughter soon.

Welcome!!! Playing with textures, colors and pictures is so fun, regardless if it is scrapbooking or not. The feel and the look is really what makes me happy! Glad you are joining us!
