Going to a traditional scrapbook crop

I'm getting ready to go to a traditional scrapbook crop this weekend.
I was wondering how weird it is being a digital scrapper. This will be my first time as digital.

I really hope to get a lot done. I've got two albums to finish up so I can get them printed for Christmas.

Ooh, sounds like fun! I'm sure it will be interesting as a digiscrapper, but you're there to get stuff done. Have lots of fun! :D

Hi! I have done it. It was cool being around all my friends. I enjoyed the camaraderie, but for me the most difficult part is that I must like quiet to focus. I didn't know that at the time. I hope for you it goes smoothly!

Thanks Em. I'm hoping to get my Hawaii album done and get our trip to the Grand Hotel done so I can get them printed as gifts for my mom for Christmas.

Have a great time Cristy! Hope you get lots done even with the chit chat and giggles :)

I run the "Village Memory Makers Scrapbooking and Paper Crafting Club" and we have digi scrappers there. We LOVE that we have such a good group of people doing both (and hybrid scrapping!) I do both and love having a chance to get caught up on both :) The best part of digi-scrapping is that I don't have to decide what to bring - I can bring EVERYTHING.

I hope you have a great time. I’ve not tried digi at a paper scrap event.

My dil has suggested I come to one with her, but I have a hard time concentrating and am easily distracted by chatter, birds, squirrels, empty coffee cups :D I don't know how much I'd get done. I'm also spoiled by the 27" monitor connected to my laptop at home.

I've gone on several crops where I was the only digital scrapper. At first, it was ok. But then the ladies just ignored the fact that I was even there. I had to sit in a corner near an outlet all by myself. I was too far away from anyone to even try to join in a conversation. So then I decided to get up and walk around and talk to them and see what they were working on. No one came over to see what I was working on.

So I eventually made some excuses why I wasn't going to the next crop. I miss going away, but I don't miss being ignored.

Too bad you live in Pennsylvania. Yo
