I don't know about you all, but I'm so busy that I totally forget to start my 30 days of Thankful this year. So to make it easier I decided I'd just go by week instead and list 7 things each week I'm thankful for. This is always a great time to reflect on the blessings in our lives. Plus, if you are looking for things to scrap each week, this is a spectacular starting point. I hope you'll join along!!

Giving Thanks Week 1
1. My husband Jason - he is always patient with me and encourages me and tries to make me laugh.
2. My daughter Katie - our relationship has improved so much since the start of summer and I'm so thankful we're able to spend together without fighting and feelings of tension. It's so nice to have her in my life.
3. My daughter Hannah - the sweetest and kindest girl I've ever met. She has her head on straight and has grown in to such a wonderful young lady, something about her surprises me weekly.
4. My renewed relationship with my sister. We're 8 years apart. Have always had a good relationship, but did our own things. Now that she has a baby we've become really good friends and talk more.
5. My employer - while over all work is difficult to say the least. I'm very thankful for the CEO that started this company and his perspective on things. He's given me the opportunity and room to grow which rare in today's world.
6. My coworkers- I work with some amazing people who make going to work each actually enjoyable and I am truly thankful for each of them and what they bring to my life each day.
7. The ability to travel - I love that we are able to travel often and see new places and experience new things. It's one of the greatest joys in my life and the thing that keeps me going at the end of really long days.

I love the idea of 30 Days of Thanks for this month, but have never gotten the hang of it. I did do a 31 days of Joy for Christmas once and took a photo each day. It was nice to just concentrate of joy and not the "stuff" and distractions of the holiday season.

31 days of Joy sounds cool. Maybe I'll do this year since my kids are older and there is not so much going on each day like their used to be.

Juli, what a marvelous idea. I have not done this before, in this manner. Let me join you in being thankful.

Giving Thanks Week 1
1. I am thankful for my husband, Jim, who is a marvelous professional photographer who supports my designing passion.
2. I am thankful for my son, Matthew, who reminds me so much of my father and grandfather. He is a calm, thoughtful man with a keen intelligence that all who meet him value.
3. I am thankful for my daughter, Rochelle. Though we have had rough times from the moment she entered this world, she is a strong, strong woman who is following her dreams.
4. I am thankful for the beautiful home and property we live on. I can look out my office windows and see nothing but trees and wildlife. It is a serene and special place.
5. I am thankful for close friends who make me laugh every time we are together.
6. I am thankful for the opportunity to read and learn and be challenged in my thinking.
7. I am thankful for my beautiful granddaughters - they are such a joy.
