For your digi elements, do you prefer...

Pre-shadowed or unshadowed elements? As in you open the kit and the designer already shadowed them for you. How about templates? I do my own shadows so having them preshadowed doesn't really help me. For templates, I usually go in and remove the shadows first if they are facing the wrong direction, so in that instance I would prefer non shadowed.

I like to do my own shadowing too. Nothing against the designer, but sometimes the shadows aren't what I need for the element in a particular layout (IE: direction or depth)

If I do use a template, I reshadow too depending on need.

I came here from a "designer applied shadow" site. It was a site requirement to have shadows already created on each element at a standard angle. Having known nothing else prior to that, and being a bit of a klutz at creating realistic shadows of my own, I was quite happy with this except when I wanted to face something another way. Now that I am here at my new home, and with the help of shadow styles, I appreciate being able to apply my own shadows as I need. Sometimes I use the template shadows, sometimes not, depends on the individual project.

Elements: I prefer non-shadowed.

Templates: I prefer shadowed, with realistic shadows. If I'm using a template, I want to save time, and having good shadows already there helps to save time!

I prefer non-shadowed so I can match the angle of my own shadowing. It really annoys me when an element is already shadowed and then the angles are wonky and don't match my own shadowing.

I like things non-shadowed. It doesn't bother me if templates are shadowed though because those are easy to clear. :)

I prefer to do my own shadowing on elements. I LOVE my shadow styles! On templates, I don't mind either way.

I prefer non shadowed Ellies but when it comes to templates I don't mind if they are already pre shadowed. I occasionally change them but normally just leave them as is. I figure a designer does their shadowing better than me so I tend to leave it alone.

For elements, I don't mind them if they are shadowed, however I may not use them due to differences in shadowing vs my own shadowing. I shadow downward, if they shadow upward, I will not use them. However I've been known to recreate said shadowed elements--especially wordart clusters!

For templates, I really like them shadowed because I can see the layers easier. I always shadow my template with my own shadows before I begin any project so I don't miss a layer. I like seeing the different layers instead of playing a game of hide and seek.

I prefer unshadowed too, and I reshadow mostly everything or make my own shadows match what I like that's pre shadowed on a template!
