I’m excited about this book! Right now I’m reading one of the others on the list, The Life and Times of Persimmon Wilson. It’s a really good book so far! I also read The Family Upstairs and it was really amazing!

Interested to hear your thoughts The Life and Times of Persimmon Wilson when you finish it -- it's not my normal style of book, but it looked interesting! I'll have to check out The Family Upstairs, too...you're the 2nd person I've heard comment on it this week!

Yay! Off to grab the Audible version :)

I'm on the waiting list for The Family Upstairs through the library (9 weeks away...eek) but am excited to read that one too!

Excited, love this pick and I reserved a copy at eh library so hopefully it will come in on time.

I’ve requested this at the library but will let you know if it doesn’t come in soon. Looks good!

I have read a few chapters and will be interested to see how it ends. At least I am not like my mother who would most times read the end of a book before she started it. There is no way I could do that.

I read ZERO books last year! I'm hoping to change that this year. This book sounds SO interesting, and I love mysteries! Just put this book on hold at the public library.

Looking forward to read this one, still reading Maybe in another life, and so far loving it.

I may have to jump in on this for February. I have it on my to read list so seems like now is a good time to read it. As for The Family Upstairs I read it and it definitely kept me reading I would recommend it.

Looks like I am waiting in line at the library for this book...184 for paperback and 259 for digital copy...anyone have one that I could borrow in PDF? Thanks

Karen, email Joylynn at
[email protected] is always kind enough to share a copy of the eBook if you need :)

Yep, exactly what Cindy said! (Thanks, Cindy -- I'm running behind today, lol!) I am glad to share anytime I can!
I'm keeping this tab open on my computer, and hoping Windows doesn't need to update anything tonight, lol -- so that if you don't get a chance to email me before I get back to the thread, I can at least get the book converted to PDF for you :)

Last night I finished reading The Silent Patient. As I read this book I thought it would possibly make a good movie and sure enough that is what is happening with it.

Sent you an email...thanks again!

For those who've finished the book...I started a discussion thread :)

Guess it's time for me to start reading the book.... I have to admit, I haven't picked up my kindle in the last week. I have an inflamed tube near the inner ear that is causing all sorts of fun at the moment. Hopefully it will all settle soon and I will be able to read again! Right now too much time with any lights and I get a migraine.

Oh, no! As one who suffers greatly with migraines, I completely understand avoiding the kindle (and most anything else with bright lights) right now. Hopefully things will be better soon!

If it helps, though, I was barely 40% into the book last night and flew through the rest of it today...I thought it was just that good! :)

Anne-Marie - I had no idea they were making a movie of this. I'm half way thru and am thoroughly enjoying it. I like that the writing flows easily and it's easy to get into it. I'm so curious as to how this will end. I should finish it up in the next few days.

I am about half way through this and am really enjoying it. This would definitely make a good movie!

I am a little over halfway and I am enjoying it too...very easy reading! I am glad they are making it into a movie I am sure it will be a good one!
