Do you have pets?

I don't think we've had a thread here where we talked about our pets. Do you have any? Did you have any previously? Or would you like to get one?

Here's my doodle boy, Taz. I don't often go anywhere without him. He goes with me on most of my walks/jogs around the neighborhood and if dogs are allowed, he comes on most of my hikes and photo walks. I work at home so we spend all day together and go out at least twice a day for walks along the river and thru the trails. He's going to be 7 this year and although he is slowing down a bit, doesn't go racing around as long as he used to, he is still very active and races through the bush at warp speed. But he can be a mellow couch potato kind of dog too and loves to curl up with me or my hubs and generally naps throughout the night in the LR while we watch TV or I scrap. He's the friendliest dog we've ever had and probably the smartest. He was the most obedient pup I ever had to train and he's the only dog I've ever had that never chewed anything up. Here's a shot of him from yesterday when Bailey and I took him for a walk along a woodsy dead end lane where he could race around off leash.

I'd love to see everyone's pets...great thread :)

Here is my rescue, Riley.

She is a 4 y/o, beagle/black lab mix. We rescued her from a local maternity shelter. The Mom and pups were abandoned, so we only have information on the Mom. We assume Dad was black lab because of her appearance. Her personality is ALL BEAGLE! She is super sassy and a total back-talker but she is super smart...almost too smart. She still gets into trouble if she's cooped up too long, and eats anything and everything she can get her paws on. She is very protective of the house and especially me...I'm her human for sure. She's my 80lb lap puppy and a cuddle bug.

I do! :) We have 2 dogs and 5 cats. We used to have hamsters, quinea pigs, rabbits and chameleon as well in the past. We love animals.

This is the cat we've had for 2 1/2 weeks, Sugar. She's wheedled her way into our family and we wouldn't have it any other way.

We have a 12 yo bunny in the house, my daughters. But this is the first time in my life I can’t remember having one of my own. I have had everything from dogs to cats to horses to pigs to a duck, to cockatiel and a Lori and my bunny.

We have a bunch of critters!

* 4 dogs
- Golden Retriever (Dixon)
- English Bulldog (Rebel)
- Pug (Lucy)
- Pug / Boston Terrier Mix (Ivy)

* 6 cats - All ASPCA rescues (Phineas, Anna, Elsa, Smokey, Arwen and Kenzie)

*3 aquatic turtles (Pebbles, Spike and Shelly)

* Lionhead bunny (Bucky)

* "Not-so-mini" potbelly pig (Abraham)

We have three dogs now (hard to believe a year ago we just had Ripleigh). In late June of last year she gave birth to eight bouncing puppies. Six of them found new homes and try as I might to not get attached to more than one of them, little Brownie weaseled her way into my heart along with her sister Sweetpea so we have three beautiful dogs now. And we have four amazing cats, Oliver, Luna, Gray Lady and Gryffin (guess what, they all have names from Harry Potter).

And those are just the pets that live with us. My kids each have a dog that live with their Nana. Buddy is my daughter's dog and Sunshine is my son's dog.

We have a 5 year old English Springer Spaniel, Tigger. We have had several smaller critters in the past guinea pigs, bunnies, and hamsters. Right now it's just Tig.

Here are a few of my darling Belle and her brother, Tiberius (James Joseph Tiberius Jackson the Cat).

Wow, you certainly have a full house! How fun to have that many pets! I had a little pup when I was young called "Brownie".

Rae he's so BEAUTIFUL!!!!

My Sadie girl is only 7 but she just had two back to back surgeries on her knees. Only 4 weeks apart. She has been leash walked for almost 3 months now. On Monday she's suppose to be released. I'm so excited for her and me toooooo!! No more leash walking. I can't wait to let her out the back door without her leash and see what she does. :)

Since all of this has been happening, (It took 6 months till they figured out it was her legs and not her back even though I told them it was her legs) she has been turning so white. It makes me feel so bad that she has had to go through all of this.

I wish I could be a stay at home dog mom. If ever given the opportunity I would do it in a heart beat. Pets are so much nicer than people.

She use to cuddle in my lap all the time and sleep with me and get under the covers. She hasn't been able to do that in forever. She doesn't chew up her toys but my Son's dog comes over and chews them all up....lol.

She's beautiful!! I commented on your layout when I first saw it. Sadie is the same way....I am her person.

Pets are the best!! They love you unconditionally!! And are so happy to see when you get home!! I love when I walk in the door and Sadie is wiggling her butt and wagging her tail.
