Curious about gallery posts...

I know the upload limit is 8 images per day. But I've noticed that if I upload an image to both a challenge gallery and designer's gallery, it counts as 2. Yesterday I only uploaded 4 layouts, but because I tagged designers, I can't upload anything else for a while. I understand having a limit, but I'm confused as to why individual layouts count for multiple uploads. Just curious!

I know it automatically goes to your member gallery as well. So if UL 4 and tagging the designer, it will count as 8 since also in your member gallery. If my thought is incorrect on this, I'm sure someone else will come along to assist.

I've been curious about this too... does the system save 2 copies of the file if you add it to 2 galleries? That seems doubtful... Hmm, thanks for asking, I will eagerly await an answer!

I don't recall where I heard this but perhaps if you upload only to your Member's Gallery and then upon upload completion you "Edit" the layout to also include the additional gallery categories? I don't know if I've tried it, I just recall someone sometime saying something like this. How's that for vague!

Ok, let me explain to the best of my ability.

First: It automatically goes to your member gallery no matter where you upload so if you don't choose member gallery it won't count against your uploads.

Second: Gethane is correct. If you are uploading multiple layouts if you upload to ONE place and THEN edit, it doesn't count against your upload total.

Third: Yes, it actually puts a copy in each gallery that you choose.
