Cars: Automatic or Manual Transmission?

I just bought a new car and I looooveee it. I got a Kia Soul. I have never driven a manual transmission so it is of course an automatic. How about everyone else?? Preference??

I LOVE manual, so fun and powerful. However automatic is far more convenient. All my kids have learned to drive a manual though, it is a great skill to have!

Nothing but automatic for me!!! I don't care what make, model, colour, power it is, if it t'aint automatic it t'aint for me...oh and of course it has to have air con and power steering as well

I prefer manual, especially for winter driving but my current car is an automatic; only the 2nd automatic I've owned in the 34 years I've been driving! (I learned to drive on a manual). DD is currently learning to drive a manual also but her car is also an automatic.

I can drive both. But right now our car is an automatic. Our son now drives the manual and he sometimes likes it but NOT in traffic, lol.

Back at home I learned to drive in a manual car and I really love it coz I feel like a bada** compared to my girlfriends driving automatics. But here, I learned to drive an automatic and it's so easy I'm thinking of changing side now :blush

I still drive a truck with manual. My husband drive the automatic vehicles.

I can drive manual, but I prefer automatic. When we lived in Germany it was tough to find an automatic!

Once I got the hang of it - a manual ... Hubby had a Mustang that was manual - wowza! powerful machine.
