Argh.. My line tool draws jagged lines not smooth.

Using PS CC 2022, I am trying to make a pattern, the first step involves drawing a straight diagonal line. The tutorial video I am following does not describe how to get a smooth line, hers just is. Mine on the other hand is jagged, The line is straight, but has these jagged teeth on both sides.

I have googled and get a lot of answers for AI, which I don't use, and a smoothing brush tool, which I am not using.

I am using the line tool, anti alias is on, I am drawing from corner to corner diagonally on a 200px by 200px transparent document, which is pretty simple except for the jaggedness, which destroys the pattern.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Looks like it fixed itself. No idea how or why, just shut down ps walked away, came back and voila it is smooth.

For a quick and dirty cheat if it happens again - I make a rectangle of colour and then squeeze it down to line width (because I also have jagged line issues)

Thanks so much for the advice. I will try that next time it happens, which could be in the next 5 minutes or next year. I still have no idea why it happens.
