Anyone else doing Weight Watchers online?

I joined about a month ago and am loving it so far. Down a bit more than 10 pounds with plenty more to go, but despite having done the "diet" thing more times than I can count, it feels like I might actually succeed this time. :)

Any other Connectors out there? I'm loving the online support community that WW has.

I have a membership but have to admit that I have fallen off the band wagon big time. I really need to get back on since I have already gained 10 pounds back from what I lost this year.

I'm sorry to hear that Debbie. It's so hard to get back on, and yet so easy to fall off. Ugh. I'm doing great right now, and I hope I can stick with it. I love the Connect Community on the WW app. If you come back, look me up. I'm lorigaud. :) Shocker, I know.

I am Lori, and almost at my goal weight! Not the best of time to try to hit goal and Maintanence right at Xmas... but I guess if I can get through this season with at least a stable weight, then I should be able to maintain it the rest of the year through!
and YES! loving their new program... much better balanced, I like more of the emphasis on protein, and the phone app with barcode scanning of product to get your point count is AMAZING! I go to the meetings as well, my hubby is doing online only. :)

Good luck and sounds as if you are doing fabulous!

Hmmm... I maybe should change my avatar pic! lol I'm down now to size 10 or 8 depending on the outfit ...something I haven't been since I was young! Feeling so much better!
I had 3 motivations:
1) My mom had breast cancer 1 1/2 years ago, and I read a "good" study, that the biggest thing which prevented you from getting it was if you lost weight through menopause.
2) At the weight I was when I started, my back ALWAYS starts to hurt and cause problems. Drop the lbs and the pain disappears.
3) I was having some female issues with the female parts starting to fall/ early incontinence etc. Since losing the weight that has pretty much disappeared. When I told the specialist she just about jumped up and down in excitement that I noticed it! As she says that is the BEST WAY possible to improve those symptoms. Think of it, if you take 20 lbs off your middle, that 20 lbs less that is pressing down on the bladder/ uterus etc. Much easier then for Keigles etc to work as it doesn't have to work as hard.

So 3 Major things that have given me the push to readjust my lifestyle to a lower weight; and not accept where I was before as my normal.

I joined through work which is really great because the meetings and weigh in are held at work so it is very convenient. I am down 30 lbs and I have another 20 to go. I know the holidays will be hard so my goal is to not gain and start losing again in January. I love the app on my phone as it lets me scan products at the store to help me understand their points.

That's great Bernice! Congrats! I love the app too. I'm always at the grocery store scanning stuff LOL.

I just joined! Any tips for a newbie?

I say the biggest thing is to make sure you continue to track your food, ALL of it, and see where those points are adding up. You'll then be able to see if you should be staying right on your point count, or if you can wiggle over and use X amount of your weekly extras. We are all different, all have different metabolisms and different activity levels; so finding out what works for you is huge. I can't go into my extras, without staying the same or gaining. I know other ladies who have no problem using all their weekly extra points, and still having a steady weight loss.
Also the other BIG thing, I've found is that you can't think of this as a diet. You have to think of it as a lifestyle change. Because you aren't denied anything, how can you call it a diet? BUT, you are learning portion control and substitutions, and healthy living/eating. That is one of the reasons why they don't focus on a goal weight right away... the idea is to be happy with the changes you are making and have made. Celebrate the size down in pants, being able to do the stairs easier, being able to keep up to...., being healthier (less back pain, or your diabetes being under control). You have chosen/ are choosing to be healthier! Keep that in mind throughout and it gets easier and easier to eat the way your body needs.

Best of luck and Way to Go making this healthy lifestyle choice! :)

Totally agree with what Nancy said above.... tracking is super important.... the good, the bad and the ugly. I sometimes use my weekly points, sometimes not. Haven't really looked at patterns with that yet... I'm satisfied for now that I'm losing steadily. When I get closer to my goal weight, I'll probably need to pay more attention to that LOL.
Have you got the app on your phone Steph? Even if you don't, I would highly recommend checking out Connect on the website. You can only post your own stuff from the app, but you can view other people's posts from the site. It's AWESOME for inspiration and support. I love the community. It's definitely helped me to feel as though there are MANY people who share the same struggles that I do. There are tons of challenges and groups there too that you can become a part of.

Good luck! I am loving WW so far.

I did WW for about 6 months and absolutely loved it. I learned a lot about my eating habits and where I was making mistakes. I don't have a subscription anymore, but I try and follow the ideal.

I don't do weight watchers or anything like that but I track my food and I go to the gym 4 times a week! (I cheat sometimes but whatever) First time I tracked my food for the day it said "you don't have enough calories" because basically my issue is I don't really eat a lot but what I do eat is very bad for me (i.e. chips and coke) So anyways I was eating about 800 calories a day which is not enough. So I lack protein in a major way, way to much sugar and lack of calories. Anyways so then I started to eat better but gosh golly so hard to get to 1400-1500 calories in healthy food LOL Coke was the hardest to give up and I still struggle and I struggle with headaches from sugar withdrawal. Anyways little funny story back in the beginning of tracking my foods, my son brought home Cinabons! They are soo good so anyways I was all martyr-like and saying I will only have a half of one. So I scarf it down and it was...yum yum and then later on I go to track and look it up for the calories and OMG it was 800 calories I almost died! LOL
