Anyone else carrying the "Crud" around?

I came down with the "crud" this week. It's pretty unusual that I get sick, but when I do, I get really sick. I'm blaming it on my boyfriend, the Gym. I swear it... But, now I have a new regimen there... wash your hands when you leave. No more hand sanitizer! Am I alone in this crud?
 
Nope. It's all over here too. Kids are trading off germs each week at school. We have an outbreak of croup for heaven's sake! My dd had strep and was almost admitted because her fever was so high and it raised her heart rate. Thankfully they got her rehydrated a bit and the fever went down some so they let us come home. She missed a full week of school.

DS 15, has exams this week and last and he came down with a sore throat and I was like "OH NO...please no" but his seems to just be a bad cold. DH had a cold three weeks ago, but still has a bit of a cough. I'm ok...(knock wood) so far. Seems to be the milder the winter, the more people are sick. There isn't enough cold to kill off the bugs.

Whew! I'm glad it's not just me! I hope your kids are feeling better! That sucks! Being sick is never fun! That's scary about the fever though. Glad that the hydration helped!
 
Awww, I'm sorry you and Trace are going through the sicknesses. All kinds of stuff going around here (GI, real flu, head colds, strep, etc.) but we've been fine thankfully.
 
I have the "Crud" this month. I had it back in November before my cruise to Hawaii and shook it pretty fast. My hubby has been fighting it for the last month and then I got it last week. I'm so sick of being sick. When everyone else is sick they crawl in bed and recoup. I get sick I'm excepted to keep taking the non driving kid to all his activities (6 days a week), cook meals, clean and do the shopping. Oh to be a kid again.
 
Yup...it's going around my house, too. My youngest started with a cold about two weeks ago...passed it on to my daughter and other son and now I'm sick. I've barely gotten out of bed the last few days. Yesterday I thought I was getting pink eye because me eye hurt so bad and itched at times, and just would NOT stop watering as well as my nose that was literally dripping like a faucet. Today my eye feels a lot better and isn't blood shot anymore or watering so that's good. My head is just soooo congested, though. Uggh....makes me wonder if schools ever sanitize anything. I hope you are all feeling better soon!
 
So, I found out about Mucinex D this time when I was sick! I have decided it is the best stuff EVER! It really helped my congested head. I even made my hubby take it when he got sick. How come I am in my 40s and just hearing about that medication?? I hope all of you are feeling better!
