Ants

CHALK! ... the type children use on sidewalks ..i feed one of my cats in my enclosed pool area, so, i outline the shape of the bowls on the deck and the ants never cross the chalk line ..i have also used them under the sink..(it's cheap, non toxic...and you probably already have them handy...so...go color!)

These are some great ideas!! :)

Totally going to try the chalk for my outside kitty bowl! We always have trouble with ants in his bowl.

one day my poor kitty kept crying for food but his bowl was full....everytime i'd go out there he'd look at me walk to the bowl and cry....finally, i said what! you've got food! and when i looked at the bowl, it was full of ants!! omg talk about a guilt ridden mama!! he wasn't telling he was hungry , he was telling me we had ants!...hence, the chalkline...sweet boy never has to share his food now

I hate ants!! We had that problem with our kitty bowl last year too (we just got our kitty last summer). I have yet to find something that works. I might have to try the chalk line! I hadn't heard of cinnamon either. We get those super duper teeny tiny ants coming in and have yet to find a way to get rid of them in the summers. Ug.
