Do you keep your scrapbook pages / kits separated by years?

I do for my completed pages, but keep all of the kits together by designer (and I don't have dates attached to them).

Just curious! :-)

Nope. I keep my kits by month/year. But layouts for CT are all in folders by designer. I keep my 300 DPI layouts in a separate folder with no categories though.

I don't separate my kits by year, but rather by store/designer. Most of my layouts I keep in folders with various names based on my children or events or such....however I do keep my Project Year layouts in folders labeled with each year

I keep all my stuffs in store folders. I find that this is the easiest for me since I do so much CT work I go to store then designer. I organized this way when I was mainly a shopper too. All my pages are saved in a folder on my eHD called completed layouts. I keep the psd, full size JPEG and save for web size. There is no order to this at all!!!! I then upload the full size JPEG to Flickr which keeps the file name and then it gets put in separate albums according to subject, year, and team. So if I need the psd again, I check the flickr name and find it that way. So one page might be in six albums in Flickr, but that way when I am ready to print, I can click on an album, and all layouts pertaining to that subject are in it.

All my completed pages are by year. And my pages are titled by month, unlike the titles I use in galleries :)

When I create LOs, I title them year-month_designer-kit so I know where they belong.
I keep my LOs in my CT folders until I have posted them, then I move the TIFF to the file where the photos are located (I keep my photos by Year-->Month-->Day). My full-sized JPEGs are moved to my "Upload to Persnickety" folder. The web-size JPEGs are moved into a 2016 folder within each CT folder and then at the end of the year, moved to a year folder (2015, etc).

My backup EHD has a TIFF file for all my LOs in one place. It also has backups of my full-size and web-size JPEGs. I also have Backblaze running (did I say I'm a bit paranoid? LOL!)

As for kits, I recently changed my files to Store--> Designer--> Kit because I thought it would be easier to find kits for challenges & CT work. I don't file kits by year, but I do go through every so often and purge things I don't think I'll ever use again.

I put kits mostly by site-designer. My layouts are kept in their album. Once I have posted my layouts, I delete the Web size version. It just takes up room.
I really need to a ton of purging of all of it!

For completed LO's to get printed- they are in the folder that goes to the printer by whatever that book might be called.

Meagan! That is a great idea. I never thought to delete the web version. I save all my kits by month and year and in there goes all LOs. I also do like Tammy and I make a file called Pix to Print, and I put all the full size LOs in that folder and then it gets deleted once it gets Persnicketyed.

Kits are only organized by designer and kit name. I do purge occasionally anything I probably won't use again. Finished pages are filed by year because I print books through Shutterfly chronologically. I "try" to scrap chronologically if I can but I don't limit myself. I just close our my photos folder when I get a full month scrapped. Then when I have enough chronological months ready, I will have the book printed.
