If you would have asked me years ago when we first moved here if I thought we would be here now, I would have thought you were crazy. My husband has never lived anywhere for more than a few years at a time. We moved to Michigan in 1998 and are still in the same home. It is really our home. If we ever did leave we would need two trucks though because of all the stuff we have accumulated. I actually can't think of living anyplace else.

We have lived here for two years actually yesterday! We moved from the city to the country in 2004 and stayed there for 9 years before moving back. Gas was a lot and DH was commuting an hour each way 6 days a week. We were paying a huge amount for gas and decided to move back to the city closer to Dh's work. We now live five minutes from his work and closer to our families. I like being back in the city and not having to drive a half hour to get to any stores or anywhere really, but I do miss my 2 acres of land and my pool!

We've lived in our home for 2.5 years. We moved from TN to MI (where I grew up) in 2011...but didn't move into our actual house until 2013.

We have lived here for 1 year and 7 months and it's the first home I've actually ever owned. DH was in the Marines so we moved around for 20 years and always lived on base because it was easier and it was provided. After he died I brought the kids back to our home state to live so they'd be near grandparents and aunts, uncles, and cousins and we moved a few times before choosing to stay in our current town and I took the plunge and actually bought a place.

We have been in this apartment for almost 4 years...wow! That time has flown. Prior to this, we unfortunately moved quite a bit. We were in a house for 5 years, then another for 1 year and another for 2 years.

This coming year, we hope to decide where we want to "settle down."

We've talked about moving out of California - it's just too darn expensive...but we've always lived here, so it's hard to figure out where to go. I would love to be somewhere that isn't so crowded. Out in the boonies would be too much of a shock, but somewhere in-between would be great. We'll see...since we have Grandbaby #1 coming in February, it would be hard to move away. But, honestly, I'm tired of living in an apartment where we don't have any outdoor space of our own.

We moved to Seattle in June 2006 and moved into our house at the End of Aug 2006 so a little over 9 years now.

I've lived in Florida since 1960.
DH and I bought this house [new] in June of 1983 and about at our 1st anniversary. So....living here 32.5 years.
Love the house. IF ...I could, I would scoop it up and all the contents and place in a slightly different spot, although we are convenient to most everything we need.

We lived in our house for just over 8 years now, and moved from the south of Sweden to the north. We like it here, especially I love the house, but we will be forced to leave this when we get older. It's a bit too remote from shops and hospital and so on.

We have lived in our current home since 1998. Here's a funny story about this house. When my husband was young, his best friend's family built this house and he spent a lot of time in it. So much so, that he even had his own bedroom here. He always said if it every went up for sale he wanted to buy it. When his friend's parents retired to Florida and put the house on the market, we had only been married 2 years and the house cost too much for our budget. But almost 15 years later, we had collateral, and the house was on the market again. We outbid another couple and the house was ours. We still love it. Of course, since it was built in 1960, we've had to do some remodeling - new roof, windows, doors. 2 out of 3 bathrooms have been replaced, and I have a new kitchen. The only thing that is still from 1960 is the cherry paneling in the family room and that awful pink ceramic tiled bathroom upstairs.

We have lived in our home since July 2000. It's been the only home hubs and I have had together, can't imagine moving anywhere else.

Before our house, I was with my parents.... two houses away, haha! And I lived there since 1978--- I really don't get out much, I'm very sheltered, lol.

We've lived in our house for 2.5 years. My husband designed the plan and built it/contracted it himself. I'm ready to move. I hate the floor plan! It looked different on paper (and in my head) than it is to live in. If we ever do build again, I need him to do it off something I've actually walked through instead of just drawing his own plan.
