Any trip where work can't get a hold of me is an A++. I always get calls or texts on my day off, so I never ever feel like I get a break. My most favorite has had to have been when we went to San Francisco and went on the Alcatraz night tour. Because I was taking pictures and the last one leaving the hospital ward, the ranger asked if my husband and I wanted to go into the bowels of Alcatraz to lock up for the night. That was pretty cool since obviously that is not something normally done. How about you? Do you have a favorite or unique vacation memory?

During my second year of law school I had an interview up in Seattle. Instead of flying up for the interview, I took off school, took the kids out of school, and we drove up the coast from San Francisco to Seattle. It was October and simply beautiful. We saw the Avenue of the Giants, drove through the giant tree, had lunched in Eureka CA and Eugene OR. Saw a salmon festival, the space needle, the science museum. It was marvelous. My only regret is that we didn't take 1 extra day on our way back to go see Crater Lake.

My favorite vacation was a trip I took to Alaska with my daughter. We visited a friend who had moved there and spent over a week driving around from Anchorage to Seward, Whittier to Nome. Taking boat trips and visiting sites. It was amazing!

Would have to be our cruise down the Western Caribbean. My FIL gave us the trip as a gift. Adam was 5, Isis wasn't with us yet and we had a blast. We loved having so much family time and visiting all the countries we stopped in. The only downside was that we couldn't stop in Grand Cayman because of high waves and winds. We missed our tour of the turtle farm (which Adam and I were devastated!) and stingray tour too. We had fun on the ship that day and an extra day at sea but we really wanted to see the turtles. :S We promised we'd go back one day to see them. So far, it hasn't been in the budget.

Oooh that's a tough one. Our family motto is "Any trip where the car doesn't break down and nobody ends up in the ER is a great trip". We've traveled so much since we've been married, but it's almost always to see family or work. I think my favorites are just road trips in general. We talk for hours and hours, we stop off to see random things, it's just fun. I think the three best things for my marriage are separate bathrooms, DVR's and road trips. I should make a LO about that....
My favorite trip as a single person was to DC in 2001. My whole family are history buffs, so we were running around like crazy sightseeing and having fun together. Another thing I need to scrap. I swear these threads are giving me some great material. :)

I have 2 favorites for totally different reasons:

First was Italy and Switzerland with DH for our 10th anniversary many years ago. It was the most awesome 2 weeks alone together without our son (who was only 7 at the time).

The second was actually to Disneyworld with just me and my daughter when she was 5 - 10 years ago now :(! It was 3 years after my husband died and our first vacation without him. My son was 18 and was working and in school and told me to go with just her so I did - it was really spur of the moment - like not even a month in the planning. We had such a blast for a whole week. It was the start of life as just the 2 of us and I was in heaven not having to cook and clean for a week - LOL

All trips have been awesome! I think Jamaica with our friends as a good one, lots of good laughs and memories. Dunn's River Falls was a crazy adventure I will never forget. I think our kids would say their most favorite was the year it rained like crazy at Disneyland because EVERYONE left the park and we rode a million rides that day.

My favorite trips are always to somewhere warm! lol I've rented a beach house a few times for a week or weekend (in Japan and Corpus Christi) and went to Orlando last August!

I've only ever been on two trips in my adult life... one to Maine to meet up with a group of amazing ladies for a week long crop, and the other was to NYC for a week with my best friend. They were both fun and amazing in their own way... one I got to meet in person some of the greatest people I have ever known, and the other was my #1 bucket list destination so they are both my favorite :)
