10/28/15 RQOTD-How would you define your scrapbooking style? Do you have one?

I tend to scrap single photos with some sort of cluster. I like to scrap larger photos too when I can. I cannot for whatever reason do pocket style pages. They take me twice as along to scrap. I am not sure why. Maybe because i see all the boxes as mini layouts and that's why they take me so long. What about you? Do you have a certain style of page that is easily recognizable as your own?

One of my friends described my style as "classy", which is hilarious because I'm not at all classy in person. Maybe eclectic? I like simple pages and clustery pages and pocket pages. Though I almost always hate doing pocket pages because they take me forever, I always love looking back at them later so I keep doing them.

I'm thinking of changing up my style a little in 2016. I need variety to keep things interesting.

I think of my style as kind of a "ready-to-wear" style. I print out almost all of my pages (eventually, heh) and put them in traditional scrapbooks. I like a lot of pics on a page, without seeming cluttered and I like for my elements to be..... page/theme specific. For instance, I don't use a lot of flowers and leaves to make clusters.... unless the page has something to do with flowers and leaves... it is kind of a personal struggle of mine because so many kits are just loaded with them!

Oh an I am also a fill-the-page scrapbooker. I have seen many nice pages with photos and clusters all in one quadrant of the page, but I just can't do it! LOL!

Hmmmm. I think I'm a mix of balanced clean and graphic with cluster piles and attempts at messy paint.

Just watch me Square and Cluster. Now watch me, watch me, watch me...Oh sorry....

I always have to have a center square and then cluster it up, if I don't have this I always feel like my page is wrong. I know I need to break out of that habit and try something new but what is the old adage? "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

I used to be such a simple scrapper when I paper scrapped. Like Cathy Zielske simple. A photo, a small element and a title. Things were so expensive, I tended to be a minimalist. LOL

But now, I'd say my style has evolved a lot. I don't think I have a specific "style" like "Oh she's artsy" or "Oh she's simple" I just do what feels good with the kits and the photos.

I do tend to gravitate towards a more shabby style if I can though. ;)

that's me!! In fact, I did a scrap page about it a while back!! I also realize that in hindsight, my journaling didn't make sense. LOL

I guess I would say I'm "clustery" LOL! hehe I made up my own word! The more textures and stuff in the cluster, the better. I've tried simple, but it never looks right. I have worked to get better at pocket pages and pages that hold a lot of photos because I'd like to get my kids' books caught up! But, even my pocket pages end up with clusters!

Great Cathy Z page Susan!!! I really admired her back in the day. She was a pioneer of font usage in unique ways. I have her books too and I still look at them once in awhile.

Tam, Clustery is a *GREAT* word! LOL
