Help trying to make a photo look like a button or flair piece

Like a button someone would wear? Or one with holes in it?

I'd crop it into a circle, then play with the shadowing, bevel & Emboss layer styles in photoshop - LOL - not sure if thats much help or not - but thats how I would do it :)

It is for sure fun to learn how to make a flair from scratch! BUT if you wanna take the easy way out ;)
Check out Gunhild Storeide. She has a free flair template!!
Go to her freebies section then to Day 7. You will find the 4shared link there! :)

Here is the preview and some info.....
Kerri asked about how to make flair buttons, so I have made these templates in .pspimage and .psd format. There are two different buttons, one more flat than the other. Paste your own color/pattern into the "bottom" layer, and if you want to add a flower, text or something into the button, paste it into the "middle" layer. Merge visible layers and your flair button is finished. Size approx. 600x600 pixel.

Wow! What awesome freebies on there! I'm going to have to dL everything! Thanks for the link Ginger! Now I'll have LOTS of free kits on my blog!

What a fantastic site Ginger, thank you so much. This site has EVERYTHING and then some...I am still wading through the pages :)
I also wanted to know how to do the latest 'flair' avatar too. Hopefully I will be back with one to sport around the site if I can make a decent one lol. THANKS!!!
