Beyond Words: What Animals Think and Feel by Carl Safina

The title pretty much sums it up but if you Google the author, you should find a link to his TED Talk which will give you a taste of what's in the book.

Anything by Mary Roach is not only super funny, but very educational. She doesn't shy away from the nastier aspects of anything, either. Just finished Packing for Mars, I recommend it highly. Stiff was also excellent.

Very interesting book, and well done as a movie too. I do enjoy Oprah's acting, and she does a great job here. Most times I don't like the movies as well as the books, but I thought it wasn't bad. And to be true..... pretty amazing.

Just finished a impressive read: [h=1]His Brother's Keeper: A Story from the Edge of Medicine[/h]Author: Jonathan Weiner {Pulitzer Prize-winning author}

Learned so much about genetics as the story is being told of two brothers; one just diagnosed with ALS and the other an impressive engineer who wants to save him by "engineering" a revolutionary gene therapy.
