Recommendations for all Thrilled and Suspense books go in this thread. Keep us on our toes, afraid of the dark, and peeking around corners! :)

Previously recommended Thriller and Suspense Books:

'Two Little Girls In Blue' by Mary Higgins Clark
The Strain, The Fall, and The Night Eternal by Guillermo Del Toro (director of Pan's Labyrinth and Hellboy) and Chuck Hogan

The Stand by Stephen King.

I wasn't quite sure if it should be suspense or horror. Either way it was good. I didn't think it was a scary book though, so I thought it was better suited here.

It's not a typical thriller as I don't read thrillers but that is what it is categorized as! You can follow me on Good Reads if you are interested. You should be able to find me under Becky Weidner.

I just read (well listened to on audible) The Shining and its sequel Dr.Sleep - by Stephen King.
WOW!! They were both SOOO good!
I really enjoyed them!

If you are going to read the second one (Dr. Sleep) - it is really worth reading The Shining first!! I loved the move The Shining, but the book is way better! And there are somethings that will not tie together as well if you only read Dr. Sleep.

I'm going to go on a Stephen King kick now :) I just got Duma Key- so will be starting that one soon.

Anyone have a favorite Stephen King book?

I didn't know there was a sequel. I read The Shining in 1979. Wonder if I should re-read it?

Oh my.... If you all like creepy books, get The Troop by Nick Cutter!!
It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time!

Someone told me The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks, would be a great book to read.

I really liked that one.

Suspense/thriller/mystery I read this this yr I can recommend are:
  • Woman on the Edge by Samantha Bailey
  • How A Woman Becomes a Lake by Margaret Celona
  • Her Mother's Daughter by Daniela Petrova
  • The Friend by Teresa Driscoll
  • Willing To Die by Lisa Jackson
  • The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides
  • Find Me Gone by Sarah Meuleman
  • The Wives by Tarryn Fisher
  • The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell

This list will keep you busy :)

I just finished Verity by Colleen Hoover. I would recommend listening to it from your local library on a phone app if possible. Especially at 1 am while trying to finish a kit and sitting next to three windows with it being pitch black outside!

If you're looking for a new (to you) author for thrillers, read Karin Slaughter's books! I'm hooked and have read 4 in the past couple weeks! Pretty Girls, False Witness, The Good Daughter!
