{READ UPDATED POST HERE} POSTED APRIL 2025 for NEW FORUM RULES AND TUTORIAL

Please remember to follow the signature guidelines for GingerScraps.

I want to remind you all of the sigi rules. Give us your info, sport blinkies, feel free to be creative and have fun with your sigi!
Keep it tasteful, no images or words you would not show or teach your small children.
Please do not link outside shops or sites.
You may link your OWN blog, facebook, or newsletter.
NO off site shop linking and NO advertising of outside shops or sites.

Don't forget the maximum size of siggies is 700px x 150 px - here is a size example. Your signature doesn't have to be contained in the rectangle - it just needs to fit within the size restrictions.

This includes and additional text and/or blinkies, so plan accordingly to ensure your ENTIRE sigi would fit inside of a 700x150 box.

In regards to siggy size - in order for it to be posted in the GingerScraps gallery you would need to limit the size to no larger than 600px x 150px. You can have the larger size (700 x 150) but it would have to be hosted offsite and then use the link from the third party site for sharing the image in your signature area. Most users find it easier to stick with the 600 x 150 because it is so much easier to have the siggy image posted in the GS gallery and link it up in my signature.

Here is a quick video that might be helpful : Help!!!!!!! I can't get my siggies to show up.

And you will be surprised how much you can fit into that size of box :)

I'm not much help since I do the same thing each month. I just "decorate" my Jedi for the season. That reminds me that I need to get her ready to go back to school. ;)

I just start with a regular canvas and then resize to the appropriate dimensions in Photobucket. Hope somebody can give you more pointers.

I start with a canvas at a height of150 pixels and the width of 700 (for this board - each forum has different guidelines) and a resolution of 72 PPI. With that I dont have "room" for blinkies, so I tried to add all the info in my sig line.

I hope this helps a little. I made sigs for about 5 years before I discovered scrapbooking. You can PM me if you have any more specific questions.

Re: Sigi Guidlines 3-2011

I create my siggie full size and then upload it to Photobucket. Once it PB, I reside to the specifications given in the first post of this thread. Then I copy the IMG coding and paste it in my signature area on my Settings page. Hope that helps!

Re: Sigi Guidlines 3-2011

Yay! Siggie guidelines! Now to make one. I must go through all the boxes in here and dig out my creative hat. I know I had one around here somewhere.....

You will need to goto Settings near the top (by the Log out and User name area), then there is a link on the left for "Edit Signature"
You can put the URL code in there :)
