Gallery Resolution

Okay, I'm wondering why when I upload to the gallery sometimes it just doesn't look.. right, but it looks fine in my program/software? I figure this is something so simple and that's why I don't know the answer because I'm over-thinking. If someone could help me that would be so very lovely.

Thank you!

I also set my image size at 72 and 600x600 in PSE7 and save it for the web. The only time I have ever noticed a difference is sometimes with blending I've done. A lot of times it is more opaque in my program and prints than it shows in the gallery and I figure that is due to the lowered resolution...

Thanks fit mentioning my action Lisa :) yes it does all the work for you! The only other suggestions I have is to make sure your images is flattened before you resize, and that you use "save for web" and not just save. Hth :)

I sometimes use PS7 (yes, that old thing), and mostly (for right now) MMS. I set the album size to 600 x 600 pixels, some of the pages look fine, others the resolution gets all weird. Come March, hubs is (finally) ordering the part needed to fix my laptop and he's going to install either PSE or PSCS, which I am way way excited about.

Oh darn, I'm no familiar really with either of those programs! I've been using PSCS since 2002... I would be LOST and guessing, but have you "flattened" as suggested above before saving?

Do you mean by resolution, the image gets fuzzy/grainy?

I'm going to try to "flatten" as suggested and see if I can't figure something out. Heh.
by resolution I mean, as an example, my most recent upload to gallery- it's like fuzzy/grainy a wee bit but only in the gallery, not on my computer/personal file. If that makes any sense.

Oh yes I see, the kisses one? Maybe try reloading it to GS and see if it just got grainy in the upload? I know that sometime when I am uploading offsite (like photobucket) it will load grainy, and if I re-do it, sometimes it will correct itself. I'd hate to lose all the fantastic comments though!

Which is exactly why I'll suffer through the grainy this time, just to keep the comments that keep me truckin'! :)
