The Footprint on the Wall

I was inspired to write this poem when we were clearing out my son's nursery and moving him to a "big boy room" in order to prepare for our daughter's arrival. It's been almost 2 years since I wrote this, and I realized that I haven't really lived up to my pledge. :( So when I stumbled across this today, I thought I'd post it as a good reminder to other mothers.

Hi sorry I can't see photobucket jpg's - could you send it differently ?

This is really beautiful, Tricia. Fantastic poetry and so bittersweet, it made me a little teary-eyed! Love how you captured that. :)

I just thought of this the otherday - as I photographed a smudged handprint on my mirror. I left it on there for a long time before I could wash it off - it was just too cute! They grow up way too quickly :( :( :(

Very inspired to do a page like this with tiny hand prints from my 2 boys. What font did you use and where did you find the footprint?

The font on the journaling is Angelina. "Footprint" is in Scriptina and "wall" is in Susie's Hand. I got the footprint from a daily download years and years ago. The designer's name is Ruby Q. I think she has retired.

Wow! I just found and read this, and I've been here for a good while. So glad it was still here for me to read. It's just beautiful and bought a tear to my eyes. It is so true. I hope you write lots of poems!
