Blog Background doesn't seem to fit??

I'm trying to update my blog... It's been about a year!! YIKES!! I've created a REALLY cute background but when I upload it to photobucket and then edit the html, it doesn't seem to fit. It's really really small... Any suggestions?? I'm lost. Thanks so much!

I always have problems getting mine to fit perfectly. I make mine whatever size my screen resolution is set for and usually have to trim some off the top and bottom to make it fit right, but it is never just right. Right now mine is just white.

Ive been playing around with it all day! It still is small on my end but i can live with it. There is a white border on the sides..

I see the white on the sides too- but I do LOVE it! :) I wish I had some help for you but I haven't done myself in quite some time! Did you try making the actual 'picture' bigger? Like just extending the patterned paper out to the sides? I don't know! Sorry.
Good luck!

It's cute, but on my large widescreen monitor it's like a small rectangle in the middle of the screen. In photobucket make sure that your set to upload at 1 mg size it auto resizes for you. Or to make things even easier the new blogger templates have a spot where you can put in your own picture it suggests using images 1800x1600 less than 300k. This will make your background look "too big" so make sure you have it designed a bit small. This is so it will fit on all kinds of monitors. This is what I did for my family blog I just redid here:

It looks great Kimmy. When I viewed it on my monitor, which is a 22" flat screen (1680 x 1050) it didn't look bad. Large white space on the left and right but everything else looked great. I don't know if this will help but I find a lot of tips on this blog when it comes to customizing Blogger.

thanks for all the help. When I view it on Firefox, I have the rectangle but in explorer, I have the white sides... I'll figure it out one of these days! LOL!! Thanks for all the tips though!
