    Default Styles

    Hi,
Anybody out there who might be able to answer these questions?

    a) what are the differences of styles and actions?
    b) do they work in PSE?
    c) how do I use them and for what exactly?

They do work in PSE, but not all of them do. If you ever purchase any make sure it says it will work in the program you use (or email the designer to ask if it has been tested in your particular software).

I'm sure others can explain this better, but actions are a series of steps that have been recorded in photoshop (they are called scripts in PSP), so with a click of a button you can do all kind of neat things. The first time I used an action was on a photo to turn it a choclatey black and white. Styles will change one of your layers for example a glitter style will change the shape of your layer to glitter. We have a few really cool actions and styles in our shop HERE Your software probably came preloaded with some if you wanted to experiment with those.

I hope this helps a little and kind of answers your questions!

Thank you so much! That clearefied a lot of things Now my only question is how I use/load actions/styles in PSE 7? I have some styles saved in ACDSee but it doesn't work just dragging them from there to PSE 7 - does that equal that the don't work in PSE? Sorry for all these questions

I can't believe I didn't mention this already!! It slipped my mind because I don't use it now since I have CS rather then elements.
After i went through the long hard struggle of learning how to instal everything - I found this awesome tool!!
    It is called add-o-matic http://www.graficalicus.com/graffish...products_id=37
    Totally worth every penny!
It does it all for you! Tou just drag and drop the files into it and it put them all where they need to go!!!

That is cool. I can do them myself, but this tool is tempting.
