Default Write about it, blah, blah...lol...

I love journaling on layouts, helps me to remember what happened and especially when it happened so I always try to add a date. Life moves way too fast for my brain to remember everything, so journaling to me is important!

So I ask you..... Do you journal? If so, what font do you use? Hook me up with the layout, too!

Me, I have two go-to fonts, KG Be Still an Know
    http://www.dafont.com/kg-be-still-know.font

    and KG Strawberry Limeade
    http://www.dafont.com/kg-strawberry-limeade.font

Wendy has a great font this month for the font challenge! I think I'll now have 3 go-to fonts now!

I always feel like I do a terrible job at journaling. When I started scrapping, I wrote from my kids perspective and used simple language because they were toddlers/pre-schoolers. Now that I write from my perspective, I never quite know how to do it in my voice. I do try to always put a date, though, like you said. I spent at least an hour on the journaling on my Vietnam page that I did with the polaroid of my dad when he was there.

Thanks for linking to the fun fonts!

I usually journal facts, where, when, who.... But sometimes I'll bust out the heartfelt like the Survivor layouts we created. Those take me forever to figure out what to say and what should not be said....lol...

I admit journaling is not my favorite, but it definitely makes the LO! Helps me to remember what was going on and some of the behind the scenes I might not have captured in the pics! One thing I love about p365, is I usually scrap those a little quicker so I remember exactly why I took the pic or something funny that went with it or whatever. Then when I scrap the picture for the kids' books (usually about 2 years later - but I'm TRYING to close that gap! ha ha) I can then look at my p365 journaling and refresh my memory! LOL

As far as favorite fonts, that's tough, I switch all the time. I too love KG Be Still and Know right now! I didn't have either of the other ones...but I do now!

Usually when I'm creating CT layouts, I don't take the time to journal very much (unless the LO requires it). I'm not the best at journaling...my brain shuts down when I set out to type (or write!). This is an area I really want to work on. I just picked up some old photo albums and pictures from my Grandpa, and thankfully, some of the photos are at least labeled with names, but dates, places and stories are missing. I think that's so sad because those memories are really lost even though there are photos.

This is why I always try to write something on the layout. I look at my old pages sometimes I wonder.... when was this taken? What in the world was happening. And this was only years ago. Imagine 20, 30, 50 years later..... I can't even remember what I did yesterday, LOL!

My journaling is really simple. I pretend someone is asking about the picture and I just describe it to them as if they are sitting right in front of me.

Like this, short and sweet, although now that I look back, I need to include the "where" in my journaling, too!!
