Wow, so many gorgeous layouts!!!! Here's mine!

    link

My Mother's first doll. Journaling reads:
(top right) This little sweetheart is a baby doll that my Nana gave my Mother for her 5th Biirthday. She has a soft body with china head and hands. My Mom used to keep this in her hope chest and as a child I would beg her to get it out for me. 50 years later, they downsized and Mom gave her to me. She’s over 80 years old now and she needs ironing and repair but I’m afraid to do anything and take a chance on damaging her. She’s beautiful to me!
(bottom left) As old as she is, the eyes still open and close depending on whether or not her head is raised. My Nana made the clothes and one of my favorite things is the button holes in the back of the dress. They are hand made and they are so tiny it’s hard to imagine them with today’s auto button-holers on our sewing machines. Under the dress is another dress with gorgeous hand made lace edges. Both dresses are yellowed and wrinkled but I love them as they are.

Tri-frame from Connie Prince's Sweeter than Sweet (recolored). All other elements and papers from Aprilisa's Picture Perfect 53 template, Connie Prince's Unconditional and Trixie Scraps' Prima Ballerina.

    Here is my page!

Precious Memories --- Title and image are both linked to my page!
Journaling Reads --When I thought about the question, What item do you have in your life that is precious to you? My first thought was my family and my children because they are precious to me. So I thought about what photos to use. Then I remembered something that would be irreplaceable and thought I should scrap that story. You see my father in law passed away in 2009 and left a hole in my heart. Before he passed away he was always finding me pieces of glass at thrift stores I cherish those pieces of glass. I knew when he passed away I would miss him and miss the things he found me. At Christmas in 2009, 5 days after he passed away, we gathered with my mother in law to try to have some kind of Christmas for my children. She handed me a gift and said “Monica before you open it you need to know that this is the last thing Dad bought you before he went in the hospital. I broke down crying when I saw this beautiful glass bowl. I knew it would be the one item that reminded me of him on a daily basis. Before he passed away he had joked with me that he needed to find me another cabinet for my glass since he bought me so much of it. He searched for one but did not find one he liked. Three months after he passed we found one in the paper. My mother in law went and looked at it and said it was what Dad was looking for. I went to see it and fell in love with it. The lady sold it to me cheaper than what she was asking for it. She said she felt like it was suppose to go to me. Every time I see the cabinet I stop and say ”Thanks Dad” because I know he helped us find it. So these two things are very precious to me. I would not ever sell them because they remind me of someone who cant be with us anymore!

Can I say that I cried the whole time I was working on this??

Forgetting who I am & who my loved ones are.

Forgetting where I’ve been & what I’ve done.
Forgetting what I love, why I love, and who I love.

Forgetting purpose, ambition, accomplishment, pain, & regret.
Forgetting my life, my children, my God and my everything.

Losing myself to the hands of time, fate, age, and disease and not even knowing it.
Watching this happen to my grandma and my great grandma before her, has made me realize, my most precious possession is my memory.

    Journaling says:

What is magical to you? What is important to your life? When asked this my
mind went crazy! Of course my family is my world! My love for my husband, five
children, my two children in law and my four grandchildren is unconditional
and my everything. But then I thought more about physical things. My Bible
came to mind as I try to lead my life by His word and walk the Christian walk. I
also thought about my teddy bear that I have had since I was twenty-two days
old. I potty trained that bear, took care of him when he was sick, he was my first
love. My mind then went to the magic of modern medicine, the insulin, pump
and meter that keep my youngest child alive and healthy, you can’t get much
more magical than that!! Then I thought about my camera that allows me to
photographs all of these memories for future generations to enjoy. But most of all, I think my electronic devices are my most magical things, My computer, iPhone and iPad allow me to share my life with my family and friends. They allow me to be close to my Aunts and Cousins that I had all but lost touch with. It has allowed me to reconnect with classmates that graduated with me 30 years ago. It allows me to scrap our life so that we may share it for many generations to come. They are the magic of modern technology!

It was a hard job, and I worked at this page about the whole day (in steps, with breaks) - no other layout today *uhhhhhh*, but now: here it is:

Text of the journaling (hope you will not find too much mistake in my english story:

Dominik and me married 2 times, first time on 08/18/1994
only at the register office, but sealed with first rings.
After the birth of our youngest daughter and
sailing round the first cliffs of life, we did it again:
in march 2001 we wed church-related with new rings.
These rings are the visual sign of our magical love
and we wore them everyday and everywhere.
But than I have started to work at a medical laundry
where it´s forbidden to wear any jewels.
    I always felt nude!
But on our 19th wedding day we took a decision.
We are sure that our love is magical,
magical enough to be an everlasting love story.
And so we went to our favorite tatoo-studio
with an own blueprint of our personal eternal bands,
where I include our initials and the initials of our children.
Now we wear a sign of our magical &eternal love

    Journaling:
The item most precious to me (besides my family) is this pendant that was given to me by my children when they were very small. I have worn it almost every day for the past 15 years. It shows my love of baseball and love of my St. Louis Cardinals. It makes me think of my children often, but also brings me memories of my maternal grandfather, who gave me my love for baseball and the Cardinals. Growing up, if we weren’t watching the game on TV, we were in the garage “tinkering” and listening to it on the radio.
