Question Why do designers put png files in with templates ????

I have often wondered why designers put png files in with templates. Is there a way to use them. Have not figured it out yet.

Some graphics programs don't use PSD files, so layered PNG files is an option that allows them to use the templates.

Here's a thought for you... there might be something in one of those png file folders you want to use in a layout.. just one.. not the whole template. Open the png files and drag them on into your program! Just be sure to give credit when credit is required for your template.
