Default Because my computer is broken, and I can't figure out GIMP

I need help. I've purchased so many kits I can't even use just because I can't scrap! My new laptop is (finally!) going to be shipped next week but until then I'm using my husband's little Ubuntu netbook. He has GIMP, but for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to use it. I don't even know how much I've spent on kits this month. It's sick. I need a recovery program.

Ahhh I hear your frustration! Many around digi use GIMP and are super with it. There are also a lot of free tutorials on line ( google it),
I DL at school as it was free however I'm an Adobe gal. I can assist with any version of it.
    all the best

So this afternoon, after I had struggled most of the day trying to figure out GIMP, my husband says, you know that dual boots into Windows 7 and I have photoshop installed in Windows right?

ARRGGHH! If I knew that, WHY WHY WHY would I be trying to figure out GIMP.

Finally! It's here and I am on it! I can transfer my files back to my harddrive. Scrapping over a network on my husband's little netbook was NOT easy.

Oh dear, what a PITA!! I've never even peeked at Gimp and probably would wait until I got my new computer before scrapping on something else. But, I wouldn't be patiently waiting!! I feel your anxiousness and all I have to offer up are BIG HUGSSSSSSS! Sorry, I'm not much help, I know! ;)
