i'm a big fan of Linda Howard, Sandra Brown and Nora Roberts (also writes as JD Robb, I have this whole series about 36 books). I am totally hooked on audible books so I can scrap and "read" at the same time.

Oh oh, I just read a book that was so intriguing, I read it all in two sittings. It was actually a required text for one of my women's studies courses, but it's a fiction book, not a textbook.

I bought it for the new semester and immediately read it. Very unique, it's a combination of sci-fi and history; not like UFOs and aliens, not war stories and history textbooks either, but an excellent fiction combo. I haven't read anything quite like it and while interesting/entertaining, it's also educational.

    Kindred by Octavia Butler

Dana, a modern black woman, is celebrating her twenty-sixth birthday with her new husband when she is snatched abruptly from her home in California and transported to the antebellum South. Rufus, the white son of a plantation owner, is drowning, and Dana has been summoned to save him. Dana is drawn back repeatedly through time to the slave quarters, and each time the stay grows longer, more arduous, and more dangerous until it is uncertain whether or not Dana's life will end, long before it has a chance to begin.

If anyone's interested in it, I have the e-book I'd be more than happy to share (I can convert it for you if needed, as well).

Oh there are so many books I already read, and there are some I couldnīt put down. I am very flexible and read different genres of books. But my first thought when I read the title of this thread was NALIGNI SIGN and her PSI CHANGELING serie - - - think there are nearly 10 books already translate into german, and I didnīt read them, I munched them
