When we were discharged from the hospital, I came and told the designers/admin that I had finally had our baby. But I didn't get a chance to come back and tell you all the awesome news! Today I sat down and created our little man's birth announcement and knew it was time to share the awesome news with you.

First, here is the story--(copied/pasted from fb)
I went in to the hospital to be induced at 6:30am on Tuesday, Feb 19, 2013. During the admittance process, the resident doctor gave me a 1/4 pill to soften my cervix before inducing (which would be four-hours later) At 9:20am, I asked my nurse, who was still doing the admitting process, if I could use the restroom. Several minutes later, I was back in bed and the baby's heart rate was dropping in to the lower 40's with my irregular contractions. Two contractions after getting back in bed, my water broke and my nurse noticed the baby had gone potty. She left the room to get the OB doctor and the Ped's dr on call so they could be there for the delivery, when it happened. Two irregular contractions later, I told my husband he was coming! DH rang the bell, ran out in the hallway screaming "she's bearing down" My nurse came running in as well as a dozen other nurses trying to set up the room. During that time, the midwife checked me and I had gone from nothing to a 10cm in less than 10 minutes. Three pushes later, without any contractions because they were so irregular, we welcomed William John in to the world. He weighed 8 pounds, 2 ounces and measured 20 inches long. He was born at 9:46am. Mom and Baby are doing well. The older sisters are smitten with their little brother and Daddy is excited to have another "man" in the house!

We were discharged from the hospital on Wednesday with William weighing 7lbs, 10oz and because of his pottying inside and being pushed out without a contraction he developed an upper resp infection, which is being closely monitored. Yesterday was the first night that DH and I didn't sleep on his floor in his room. He woke up congested from about midnight to about 2:30, but once it passed, he slept like a champ for a few hours.

Anyways, here is our official birth announcement:
