February's Scrap Your Read Challenge
If you've been reading along with this month's Hey Good Bookin' Book Club selection, The Witch's Daughter, chances are you wound up reading far more of it than I did. I tried, really I did...but I guess some books just aren't what we hope they'll be when we start them. It's sad (at least for me) to put down a book I couldn't seem to finish, but it's not always bad. Sometimes, putting down one book we can't seem to enjoy leads up to pick up book that we fall head over heels with!
That's true in life, too. Sometimes, we go into jobs, relationships, and other life adventures expecting them to go one way...but learn somewhere along the way, that our expectations weren't realistic. We're left quitting the job or ending the relationship...and while it may be sad, it leads us on a path far greater than we ever imagined.
For this month's Scrap Your Read challenge, scrap about a time when you ended one lifetime adventure for the better (did you break up with your boyfriend in a coffee shop and meet your future spouse on the way out? did you quit your job on a whim on Friday, only to find the perfect job, making twice the salary, in the newspaper Monday morning?). When you're done, upload your layout in the Scrap Your Read Challenge Gallery, and here in this thread. Layouts are due by February 27th.
Anyone can play along and submit a layout, even if you haven't read this month's book, so don't be shy!
On the last day of the month, I will randomly pick one participant from this month's challenge to receive a $5 gift card to either Amazon or Barnes & Noble! So make sure your layout is uploaded and sitting pretty in the gallery by the end of the month, or you won't be put in the pool for the prize
