I do it just like you, Lisa! I wasn't sure if Missi could with the program she is using. ;)

I don't like having things grouped for a couple of reasons, so I like the dragging all the layers over way. lol

I'm with Lisa, now just phrasing differently, only 'cuz' in case this works better for you.
Open your new document 24 x12
Open your PSD template 1...get ALL the layers highlighted, [switch to the move tool]-making sure all are highlighted in the layers palette ` drag to the new doc.
    OK
Open the other psd template and repeat. Should be good to go.
    Now...
not to stir a new hornets nest..."all" the layers can get a bit confusing. Depending on your version of Adobe--right click the eye ball in the layers palette and change the color. It will assist in knowing what is where.

no hornets nest here LOL honestly most things i do the long way because i taught myself for the first 10 yrs. however in school and work some of my projects could have hundreds of layers and no amount of colors or anything helped so we were taught to group/then minimize sections of work. its honestly what works best for each person...and the colors is a good idea too

    guess I'm a tad late

I Learn something new everyday. I always find it interesting to see how many different ways we all have to do the same thing.

I do it the way Lisa does, which it seems like others do, too. But I loved reading how other people do it. I always love reading PS tips and tricks!
