Thoughts and prayers!

I'm not one to normally request such a thing, but I'll take all the positive thinking you've got right now, a 'mass shooting' early this afternoon hit way too close to home- as it was at a dear friend of mine workplace.

I have called her and sent several texts, with no response yet. I am sort of (absolutely) freaking out waiting to hear something, anything, from her. I don't know if she was working today or not, but there is a good chance she was...

All news reports state there have been 7 to 8 people shot, but no fatalities which is a HUGE blessing.

I am trying to find a way to distract myself until I hear from her. Which is proving difficult.
I might just go immerse myself into Photoshop before I go batcacacrazy.

WHY?!?! do people do this? Why does there have to be such nonsensical violence in the world?!

No one appears to be in critical condition either, so that is another blessing, but I STILL desperately want to hear from her and know she's okay. :'(

Just received a text from her! She says she's okay, which is fantastic! Still sending all my thoughts to those involved.

But, what a sigh of relief to know my friend is alright. This is a scary world, I tell you, scary.

Oh April! I'm so glad your friend is ok. Even though no one was critically injured (Thank God!), I'm sure those poor people will be forever changed after that horrible experience.

Please continue to send your thoughts and prayers to the victims of this tragic event. It has been reported that there are now three deaths and the shooter is still at large. This is a very scary situation.

I saw that story on the news. So happy to hear that your friend is okay but yeah, this certainly is a scary world we live in. We have a local story going on now with some whack-o randomly shooting at people in their vehicles while on the expressway. You just never know from day to day when you leave the house if you'll make it back home safely at the end of the day.
