And on his 60th birthday, no less!

I am totally creeped out by the pics, like seeing his corpse or something...

So glad I took the time to visit him on Wednesday, one last time before he left us.

I saw this on the news today and it made me really sad, even though I'd never been there myself. (And ITA: the pics are VERY CREEPY! I thought about taking some photos of the news to scrap this with a Halloween kit, but it just seemed...wrong somehow. IDK? Maybe cuz he looks like a real dude?)
I think they should still have his bday party. Maybe they could turn it into a memorial for him? (I mean, for IT.)

I've been seeing Big Tex for as long as I can remember, he was there when my mom was a kid, too. The pics are horrendously creepy, especially since his face seemed to burn last. :/

A lot of people are soft of like, "So...what?" but Big Tex is a Dallas landmark. Kids in Texas even dress up as Big Tex during fair week. He's even featured in an episode of King of the Hill! He'll definitely be rebuilt for next year, but it was still kind of like seeing your elementary school burn down or something. You kind of can't believe something that's been there forever is gone. :-/
