My kids are heavy sleepers too so it's not much of a problem for me to get sleeping pics. My favorites are when they fall asleep on the floor, or face first into the couch, or in my daughters case... standing up on the floor with her body laying over the arm of the couch. Those are my favorite pics of them sleeping. The light is usually good and it makes for a good story later. If I get to snap pics in bed, I turn on a lamp and use flash if needed. I like that "bright" picture as well as one that looks like it's dark. It makes for a great contrast.

I took this one of my son tonight, I found there is a lot of color noise on "auto" setting, and it's REALLY hard not to get a blurry shot.....

This was with light from his bedroom closet and the hall.

Wendy I like that idea of taking a pic before their their age changes.
    Michelle- the photo is darling...

One thing I've done for sleeping pictures is to use the tripod and increase the ISO setting for a longer exposure.
Then if I still get a grainy or too dark or whatever, lighten it up in photoshop and blend it into the bg paper.

Since we are talking about sleeping children, and the "night before birthday" photos I thought I'd share a page. I made this layout the night before my little boy's fourth birthday. It was kind of an after thought, but I'm so glad I made the page.
