On temps: yesterday was day #23 for 2012 that we hit 100F or higher.

You are too funny. It is not that hot. This is nothing compared to NC and MN hot. Not even close. It's perfect. I love it. This is the first it has been summer warm since we have made it. Otherwise, the temp sits between 67 and 72. I think today it was almost 80. It was nice. Love it! Is it quite a bit warmer in LA?

Your coastal, so your not allowed to comment on the weather! I'm only 30 minutes up a "mountain" from the beach and it was 95+ here yesterday and it's gonna be 97 today and humid today! I don't mind the heat but I hate the humidity!!!

I don't even understand why it is so much cooler for me living on the coast. When I lived right by the coast in NC it was just as hot and humid as everywhere else in the state.

I thinks it's because the east coast is flat, where as Cali has all those mountains. The cool air gets stuck on the beach side so you stay nice and the hot air gets stuck on the other side of the mountains and we roast.

I'm just glad I don't live in Death Valley! hahaha we went there in Spring and it was snowing up at the mountains...when we got to the valley it was uber hot..... three days later, we got back to the top to leave...and the snow was all gone!! LOL
