    Default TIFF vs PSD

Ok, so I know that I should save things as TIFFs instead of PSDs because they take up less space, but really, it takes SO MUCH LONGER to save a file in TIFF than in PSD, that it just doesn't seem worth it! I think it's easier to just have my DH buy me a new larger hard drive! I typed this entire post in the time it took me to wait for my TIFF to save!

LOL - I know it takes a bit longer to save - but I really love TIFFs - I love that you can see a preview (so when you're looking for a template or to fix a typo in a LO - its easier to find) - especially the LOs - I need to get more consistant w/ naming LOs so I can find them easier!!

This is why I save in TIFF- especially my layouts or when I'm building a preview! I love being able to see a little image in my file. I haven't noticed that it takes that long to save though, if it did I would be annoyed too.

TIFF (originally standing for Tagged Image File Format) is a file format for storing images, popular among graphic artists, the publishing industry,[1] and both amateur and professional photographers in general. As of 2009, it is under the control of Adobe Systems. Originally created by the company Aldus[2] for use with what was then called "desktop publishing", the TIFF format is widely supported by image-manipulation applications, by publishing and page layout applications, by scanning, faxing, word processing, optical character recognition and other applications.

I am on the fence of this one.....up until about a month ago I always tossed my tiff files. But looking back, I sort of wished I kept them just because I can see what the tiff files is in my viewfinder, whereas with psd, I have to wait for the little preview image to load the psd. Now what am I doing, even though its a pain, I am saving my tiff files and tossing my psd. But as far as saving for myself, like when I am scrapping or designing, I still save in psd just because of the time it takes to save a file.
I can't get photobucket to work.
