Thanks everyone. Update is that the Dr feels Dad will go to a pulmonary rehab facility. That's the improvement over talking about the end of his life taking place in the hospital. Still not the best news....

Hi everyone, just got back from Minneapolis, and did not have to get a new flight to Erie, PA. Right now, Dad is struggling with swallowing issues, and is in pulmonary rehab at a different facility (critical care facility for pulmonary issues). He had been in a medically induced coma for over a week, then a tracheotomy was performed. I do believe he will transition from the ventilator to the trach kind this week. Still an uphill battle for him and I do not understand what is causing all the problems, or what it means long term/ short term/ day to day. Feeling hugged by lots of sweet cookies (that would be y'all!) makes it easier to face. Love you all!
