Default Making a Donation to an Elementary School

I have a bunch of paper scrapbooking supplies I'd like to donate to one of the local elementary schools here in Detroit - and I mean a LOT. It's sick how much I have. LOL

I think some of you are teachers, so I hope you can help me know who to call in the school administration to set something up. I will need a tax receipt for the donation. I don't know where to start and don't know any local teachers to ask, so any information about what is done in your school would be helpful!

    Thanks in advance.

If you have a specific school in mind (like one your kids went to or your neighborhood school) you can call the office directly... Otherwise you can try the local district. If nothing else, they can direct you to who you need to talk to.

We don't have children, so I am not picky about school. I just want the supplies to go to a school that will use them, but can't afford to buy them.

That's awesome Jenn! My daughter goes to a school with only 132 students and I plan on donating a whole bunch of books that she's outgrown or will be outgrown next year. They have a really good library but are in need of more k-6 themed books and we have so many. In such a small school, I only have to go to the school administration offices and they'll complete any necessary paperwork.
