DH is the baby of the family, so he was 15 when his niece was born. They have always been very close.

Three years ago, at 17, she was diagnosed with Nueroblastoma. We were all very scared, but she managed to fight it and has been in remission for 2 years.

Now at age 20, and the mother of a 6 month old, her cancer is back. She has cervical cancer this time. It doesn't look good.
