January Book Club Poll - Pick Our Next Book!
It's time to get this party swinging again! :) I've greatly missed the Book Club, and the sanity break I get from being able to lose myself in a good book. I'm excited to start the Book Club back up and start cracking open some great new reads (or cranking up the fully charged Nook, in my case, lol) starting in January. So, let's get this poll started!
Around the 15th of each month, I'll start a poll to pick the next month's Book Club read. Each poll will include 4 or 5 books, either chosen by myself, picked from suggestions made by you in the Book Club Recommendations forum (or a combination of the two).
Since we picked a book previously, but life got far too busy for me to give it the attention it needed, I added it as the first option for this month's poll. Whether we decide to stay with the previous book (since I know a few of you picked it up and began reading it) or pick something completely new is totally up to you! :)
This month's poll options:
--------------------------------------------------------
The Boy In The Suitcase by Lene Kaaberbol (the last club pick)

Re: January Book Club Poll - Pick Our Next Book!
Ok, so I found this post/poll and all my questions in the "We're Back!" thread were answered. :)
Re: January Book Club Poll - Pick Our Next Book!
Hmmm - this might be a hard vote! LOL
I have read all the books in the Trylle Series (Switched), and they were good! :)
It looks like The Boy in the Suitcase is #1 in the Nina Borg Series too. ;)

Oh REALLY?! I totally didn't catch that before!!! Now, I totally have to go back and check out the rest of them - thanks for pointing that out! ;)
And, I'm about halfway through the book Switched (someone recommended it to me Friday)...interesting!
Re: January Book Club Poll - Pick Our Next Book!
Switched does look so interesting. I really like the cover too. What a nice swirl mask. Hehehe.
I've voted for that.

Hmm....but I realized there is no Kindle edition.....there is for nook one but can it be read on Kindle?
Re: January Book Club Poll - Pick Our Next Book!
There are quite a few formats for e-readers that can be converted to other e-reader formats if I am making sense... ;) I am not sure if epub (Nook format) converts to the Kindle format though.

I'm pretty sure that using the Calibre program mentioned in THIS THREAD, you could convert it no problem. But, according to the Amazon listing of the book here:
http://www.amazon.com/Switched-Tryll...cking+switched
there should be a Kindle version, right? Or am I reading it wrong? I try (or at least call myself trying) to double check each book option for both a Kindle and Nook version, to make it easy on everyone...I just don't post both store links for each book until after the poll closes and the book has been chosen.
Would you like for me to start posting both the Nook and Kindle version links in the polls?

I can't read about any murders...yikes

Joylynn, I'll search the store from my kindle and see if it's available there. There was no e-book/kindle under the different formats, just audio version. I know how to use calibre but I just wasn't sure if I can download the e-book file, etc. if I make the Nook purchase if I don't have a Nook.
