It seems funny that I'd be sad about Hostess closing shop, but I am! Funny enough, I have some good memories of eating Hostess cupcakes with my dad and Twinkies with Grandpa. The Twinkies were usually hard but it's the memory, right?
Better go stock up and scrap some memories about them!
I didn't even know they were closing. I have to say, I don't think I have ever had a Twinkie before! LOL
Oh wait, I think I did know they were closing; I guess I more thought they just weren't making Twinkies anymore. Anyway over the summer, my mom picked up a chocolate Twinkie for my kids to share. I am guessing that is why. She had said something about them having to try a Twinkie before it's too late. lol
I love that you are going to stock up and scrap about them. It's amazing how many simple things bring back such great memories for us though. :)
I'm going to miss HoHos :( but its not like i could stock up on them because i could eat awhole box in one day (which is why i dont buy them, prolly why they are going out of bussiness) :(
ick -- i hate Twinkies. My husband always says Twinkies would survive a nuclear melt down lol.
Don't panic! They are selling on ebay for upwards of $75 already!!
omg i laughed looking on ebay... some of them are going for $300+!!! That is insane... just make them and save some money imho
Ummm, it was said that even though Hostess is liquidating, the better known brand name products like Twinkie, Ding Dongs, Donettes, etc will likely be sold off to a different company.
So...
1. Twinkies are gross.
2. In all probability, they'll continue to be made.
3. LOL @ Twinkie madness a la Zombieland! hehe

The company told the mayor of St. Louis SEVERAL months ago that they were going to be closing factories. They're just using the ONE WEEK strike as an excuse. A company doesn't go out of business in just a week.
Our factory just shut down here.
i'm a big SUGAR addict but i can't stand twinkies...there r some others i will miss but truth be told its probably a good thing (for my health and waist line not for jobs)
