Trail Rides - Lisa (FJChickie)
We have a new to us toy. We bought a 1966 Jeep CJ5. :)
We have taken it to ice cream and on a few tank roads on base.
We took our truck to the Main Divide Truck Trail in the Cleveland National Forest too.
I know we are both in the same general area, so what are your favorite truck trails around here? These would have to be trails that aren't too difficult for right now since we will have the kids with us. ;)
Although my husband would love to know of some great rock crawling trails. I suppose the kids and I could always vacate the vehicle for those! ;) lol
Thanks for any and all help! :)

Congrats on your new toy! (...even though it's a Jeep) ;)
Cleghorn is fun and it has some difficult sections but it usually has an easy bypass too.
Is he an experienced driver? If so John Bull is a great trail to crawl on but he may need a spotter on some sections.
Anza Borrego is an awesome desert area to explore in fall or spring, don't go there now!
When winter comes around Lytle Creek is one of my favs for playing in the snow!

We really want an FJ40 - that is on our wish list, but they are so expensive!
He is an experienced driver. We used to do rock crawling and trail rides before we had the kids. Then we thought we would start it up again for a fun family activity! :)
Thanks so much for the ideas! I can't wait to try them out!!!! :)

I just love looking at all your trail riding and camping pictures all the time. I knew you were the perfect go-to person! ;)

I want a 40 too!!!
Maybe we can meet up on a trail one of these days!
Re: Trail Rides - Lisa (FJChickie)
That would be awesome!!! :) We aren't available until fall though. The hubby will be out of town for the next 3 months. :P
40s are awesome!!! Don't worry - we aren't one of those weird Jeep people. ;) teehee

Re: Trail Rides - Lisa (FJChickie)

Natural A/C (tail flicks :P)
You adjust to the gait pretty easily when you do it most weekends ;)
Then again, horses can also throw you hehe
