Cleaning jewelry- just sharing
I was disappointed in several pieces of silver jewelry I own that became tarnished. I did a 'search', and found an article that suggested using toothpaste and a toothbrush. I figured what the heck, I'll try it, as I couldn't wear them anyhow.
It worked! However it was time consuming. My hands do not have the stamina to keep brushing [or use those little jewelry rub cloths].
So, I kept searching...and found a mixture of baking soda and vinegar. I felt like Bill Nye the science guy as the stuff was bubbling around. I placed them in a bowl and let set for a couple hours.
I was amazed at the "after".

very cool! just make sure that the mixture won't hurt any stones/pearls/whatever that are on the jewelry. :)

On mine that had stones, they were the sowarski [sp] crystals. Most were just the silver plated etc from Premiere jewelry, unless the items I made myself.
