Can I ask - just because I'm too lazy to click on the link - but how much is a yard of the create your own fabric?!? My mom sews a lot - and makes me all of my CDs - so this could be way fun! :)
its pricy $16.50 a yard plus shipping... but i took the jump because i wanted what i wanted and couldnt find anything with just the right color combo and theme
i've made blankets for all the babies in the family except for mine lol, the one is for my very best friend who i grew up with since i was 3 his mom used to be our live in baby sitter, and we've been best friends ever since, he and his girlfriend are expecting their first and she's very fashion foward and so i needed to find just the right pattern, but i also wanted some cute to it, and he has always loved pandas so it was the perfect idea to marry the two ideas :)
SO is that going to be the top piece, and you'll have a back, and you'll quilt them together? Sorry - just trying to picture! Because - $16.50 isnt too shabby if you can make your quilt onto one yard and then just quilt it w/ a long arm or sewing maching (or by hand if you're awesome). It'd sure beat buying all the different fabric pieces and taking the time to cut them out & piece them together!
Now I want to make a quilt!! LOL!!
yep im going to find a gray or black back peice, and then quilt them together :)
Wow! That's really not bad at all!
It looks fabulous, Rachel!! I cannot wait to see the finished product!! :D
awesome job on designing the material!!! pandas are my fav animal!!!
I can't wait to see it Rachel!! I will have to show my mamma the link too, she would love that!
You will have to let us know if the quality of the fabric is good once it arrives.
you can actually print the fabric off your printer too. Over Christmas my sis and I made my mom a blanket and printed pictures onto fabric that was made specially for it, I think it came in blocks or 8x10 but we got it at Michaels.
